The first Russian town in Siberia – Tyumen – was founded as a wooden fortress (“ostrog”). Until the beginning of the 18th century Tyumen buildings were mainly made of wood. Wood was the most available and sculptural material in craftsmen hands. And architectural wooden carving was the top of the mastery. You will visit the workshop of Svyatoslav Shitov, who comes from a dynasty of wood carving masters.Внимание!
